Legal entity

Jarida One Ltd

The legal entity behind all Jarida products and community programmes is Jarida One Ltd, a company registered in Kenya. Jarida One Ltd trades as Jarida and Jarida.io.

Jarida Open Source Community

Jarida Open Source Community (also referred to as "Jarida OSS") is the open-source contributor community operated by Jarida One Ltd. The terms "Jarida", "Jarida.io", "Jarida Open Source Community", and "Jarida OSS" are synonymous and refer to the same organisation and its activities.

Licences

Software — Apache License 2.0

All Jarida software repositories are released under the Apache License, Version 2.0, unless otherwise stated in the repository. You may use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the software in source or object form, subject to the conditions of that licence. A copy of the Apache 2.0 licence is available at https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.

Content — Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0)

Documentation, written content, design assets, and other non-software materials published by Jarida are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence, unless otherwise stated. Third-party components

Jarida products incorporate third-party open-source components. Each component retains its original licence. Please refer to the NOTICE and LICENSE files in each repository for details.

How to credit Jarida

When using or redistributing Jarida software or content, please include the following attribution: "Developed by Jarida One Ltd (jarida.io), licensed under Apache 2.0 / CC BY 4.0." For software, this attribution should appear in your NOTICE file or documentation.

"Not For Profit" mark

Certain Jarida projects are explicitly marked "Not For Profit" within their repository. Projects bearing this mark may only be used for non-commercial purposes. This restriction is noted in the relevant repository's README and licence file.
